DOES YOUR OFFICE RECYCLE?
NO?!!
You ask…What can I do?
Do you cringe at the amount of paper and soft drink cans that are thrown away at your office every day? The best possible solution would be to assist your office manager in finding a recycling service for your office. If that fails, you can, and should, still do your part. Toss your papers and cans into a plastic bag and take them home to recycle. Remember, every little bit really does matter!
Here are some ideas to take to your employer and initiate environmental awareness in the place where you spend most of your daylight hours!
Stop energy waste!
Energy waste is very costly and found in every business. These costs directly affect everyone by reducing profits and the ability to make business improvements. Turn off your lights when you leave the office, turn off radios, computers, calculators, and any other electronic item that doesn't need to run all night.
If you pass by a co-workers office who has left for the day, be a friend and turn their lights off!

GO-GREEN ACTION PLAN FOR THE OFFICE

· Create Energy/Recycling Teams to coordinate activities.

· Use banners and posters with your Vision or Message.

· Have suggestion contests.

· Display informational posters for employees as a constant reminder to conserve.

· Have a contest that encourages the reporting of waste or air leaks.

· Use appropriate decals and signage by your machinery and energy.

· Encourage all employees to Adopt-A-Door and if appropriate....close it when unnecessarily open.
