Edward Ducoff, CPM

President and CEO

Ed began his real estate career in Dallas in the 70's, working in multifamily brokerage and development. He has been involved in many aspects of the multifamily industry including market identification and research, financial and marketing feasibility studies, site selection and acquisition, and development coordination for national apartment developers.

In 1980 he co-founded Pace Realty Corporation and is responsible for creating and implementing the company's business strategies and growth opportunities. 

Ed received a B.A. degree from Marietta College and holds the Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management.  He is a licensed Texas real estate broker, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas and is a past president of that organization. In June 2014, Ed was presented with the Association's Life Member Award for his contributions to the Association and the apartment industry.  This honor has only been awarded to twelve members since the association was formed over fifty years ago.

Steve Thurber

Executive Vice President

Steve directs the day to day operations of the company's  portfolio in addition to overseeing Pace's policies, procedures, reporting systems, Due Diligence assignments and client relations.

Under his leadership the company has managed virtually all classes of conventional and affordable housing, including distressed assets and Senior Living communities. 

He is a past president of both the Apartment Association of Fort Worth and the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas, served as Vice President at Large for the Texas Apartment Association, and has served on and chaired various committees for those organizations.  He remains active on the AAGD Legislative Committee.

Steve received a B.B.A. from Texas Tech University and has been a valued Pace associate since 1984.

Anita Hord

Senior Vice President

Ms. Hord began her multifamily real estate career with Pace Realty in 1986 while attending the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas.  She held multiple on-site positions prior to being promoted to the Corporate office as a Regional Property  Manager  in 1994, and was appointed Vice President in 2006.  Today, she oversees the company's Affordable Housing Compliance Department, specializing in LIHTC properties.  Additionally, she is responsible for Pace's internal Training and Educational programs through Pace University, and she established and directs the company's Mentor Program.

Anita currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Apartment Association of Tarrant County and is a recipient of several  awards  from the Association,  including the prestigious Lone Star Award for Supervisor of the Year.  She holds the NCP designation from the Housing Credit College and is a graduate of AATC's Lyceum Leadership Program.

 

Sherri Schultz

Senior Regional Property Manager

Sherri started her multifamily career in 1987, working for Dallas based developers such as Fairfield Properties, Billingsley Company and Windsor Properties.  She specialized in leasing and managing new Class A conventional apartment communities.

Sherri continues to utilize her new construction skills with Pace Realty, overseeing properties in both the DFW Metroplex and Houston, Texas.  She interfaces with clients at the earliest stages of development, providing input on site plan configuration, floor plan design, unit mix, website design, internet advertising, and general marketing plans.

As Senior Regional Property Manager she is also very experienced in managing existing properties including mid-rise, high-rise, garden and Senior Living communities. Sherri has been a valued Pace Associate since 2004.

Kevin Newman, CPA

Controller

As Controller, Mr. Newman is responsible for all aspects of corporate and client financial reporting, cash management, external audit coordination, and the company's banking and lender relationships. His sixteen years of real estate experience encompassed financial reporting for general partnerships of various private equity funds, fund accounting for office, retail and multifamily holdings, and oversight of financial statement preparation, cash flow forecasting, and balance sheet.

He graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and holds the Certificate of Public Accounting designation.
